Entry permit to Dubai, UAE

Entry permit to Dubai – Makebiz

Entry permit or entry permit is often confused with visa. But it should be borne in mind that it is its analog, which differs in its validity period. This permit is required to enter the territory of the UAE, most often with the further purpose of registration of a resident visa.

For citizens of countries that are members of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Countries of the Persian Gulf, it is not necessary to issue any additional documents for a free visit to the UAE. There are also a number of countries whose citizens can obtain a tourist visa for 30-90 days with possible extensions.

In other cases, short-term stays in the UAE will require an entry permit, which allows for a single or repeated entry depending on the purpose.

The permit can be obtained on the application of a sponsor, which can be:

  • UAE nationals;
  • persons holding a valid resident visa;
  • UAE airlines;
  • Emirates hotels and travel agencies;
  • government agencies;
  • private companies (including those from free economic zones).

It is important to keep in mind that once the permit is issued, you need to cross the border within 60 days. Customs authorities leave a stamp in the document on entry, so that in the future there will be no difficulties with visa issuance.

If necessary, entry permit is extended for 30 days twice. When all the terms expire, you must obtain another reason to stay in the country or leave it, otherwise you will have to pay fines for each overdue day.
