Best Beaches in Dubai, UAE - Makebiz

Dubai is famous for its many beaches, which are characterized by cleanliness, amenities and a high level of safety. Some of them are more suitable for family vacations, while others will allow for a more secluded and relaxing vacation.

Al Mamzar Beach Park is an inexpensive pay park suitable for large groups and families. A variety of facilities and activities can be enjoyed here, including beach volleyball, swimming pool, barbecue areas and plenty of water sports. Lifeguards are on duty during the day and huts can be rented on the beach. During the summer months, they open up a certain area for night swimming. Keep in mind that Monday and Wednesday are ladies’ days, when the beach is for women and children under 4 years old only.

White Beach is a luxury beach club with its own stretch of soft sand at Atlantis Dubai Resort, located on the outer edge of the man-made island of Palm Jumeirah. It even has its own private pool, as well as sun loungers for comfortable lounging. The beach is open during the day, and the pool and restaurant are open even at night. There are various events and activities on Sundays.

Jumeirah is a man-made stretch of coastline a short drive south of the center of Dubai. The ocean here is protected by an island, making the already calm Persian Gulf particularly safe for toddlers and novice swimmers. Water sports include jet skiing and banana boating. Just off the beach are a number of restaurants and cafes offering Middle Eastern and Western cuisine to suit all tastes. It is worth bearing in mind that it is quite crowded on weekends.

Sunset Beach is most often chosen to visit closer to the evening due to its beautiful views of the setting sun. Along the shore you can not only take a stroll, but also join joggers on the special jogging path that borders the beach.

JBR Beach is within walking distance of many of Dubai’s most popular attractions, making it the most convenient for tourists to visit, but also more crowded. Family vacations are also possible, thanks to the nearby fairgrounds and playgrounds that children will definitely appreciate.

Kite Beach is the best place for kitesurfing. In good weather, the beach is full of amateurs and athletes on boards. Beginners can try it too, thanks to the school with day classes located here. Behind the beach line, there are plenty of cafes with a variety of cuisines, which also attracts a lot of people.

Al Sufouh Black Palace — surrounded by royal palaces, but access is free. The shoreline is covered with soft golden sand, but there are no facilities. It’s worth stocking up on food and drinks if you’re coming for a long stay. The sunset and views of the Burj el-Arab are magnificent from here.

Mercato — Less popular than the other beachfront areas, making it ideal for those looking for peace and quiet. There are free changing rooms, several cafes and a jogging track.

La Mer is a beautiful and well-maintained beach with plenty of trees providing comfortable shade. Here you can rent surfboards or ride a banana boat. Nearby there is a full entertainment complex with stores, cafes and playgrounds.
