  • Proof of Emirates residence address.
  • Providing a health certificate and taking out professional indemnity insurance.

An important part of the legal interpreter certification process is successfully passing the exam from the Ministry of Justice. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. The exam test usually consists of several paragraphs of text in English and Arabic to be translated. It assesses the accuracy of translation, understanding of legal language and processes. Based on the results of the exam, a certificate confirming the qualification of a specialist is issued.
